3-track learning programme of HSB Jaipur
General Management, Product Management, and Leadership constitute the three specialised yet interconnected components of our MBA. Projects and internships encompass all three tracks, with each track receiving dedicated attention.
1. General Management Track : Provides instruction in business, marketing, and financial management skills, delivered by experienced faculty from esteemed institutions such as top IIMs and B-Schools.

A. No, currently, the flagship program only offers a specialisation in product management. However, the MBA is composed of three tracks:
- The General Management Track

The General Management track provides high-quality learning at the level available at leading B-Schools, with over 400 academic hours across two years. Additionally, HSB’s MBA includes approximately 600 hours of Product, Technology, Design courses and a six-month full-time internship in a product-facing role.
Q. How many courses will I study during my MBA?
A. You will study a total of 45 courses as part of your MBA.
Q. What is the program's approach to experiential learning?
A. The program is designed to integrate experiential learning as a fundamental part of the curriculum. The leadership track (Think, Communicate, Lead) equips you with the soft skills needed to navigate and excel in the workplace. Learn-Apply-Build is a key unique selling point (USP) of the program, encouraging students to utilise the virtual lab and engage in practice-based learning.
Q. Will internships be part of the program structure?
A. Yes, the second year includes 6 months of dedicated internships in product-facing roles. This consists of 2 months at a large enterprise, followed by 4 months at a suitable, well-funded startup.
Q. Where is HSB located?
A. HSB is situated on the J K Lakshmipat University campus, Ajmer Road, Jaipur. The campus is located 20 km away from Jaipur and is easily accessible by road.
Q. Is it mandatory for all students to live on campus?
A. Yes, the program is compulsory residential; all students must reside on campus.
Q. I am married; can my spouse live with me on campus?
A. Accommodation close to the campus will be provided, allowing you to live with your family and attend as a day scholar if you wish. However, this arrangement will be decided on a case-to-case basis at the institute's discretion.
Q. What facilities are available to students on campus?
A. Students have access to single-occupancy AC rooms with shared toilets, a mess, cafeteria, on-site health services, counseling support, and a fully-equipped gymnasium.

A. The campus is open on weekdays and weekends. You can visit anytime between 9 AM to 5 PM without prior notice.
Q. How do I know if I am eligible to apply to Hari Shankar Singhania School of Business Jaipur?
A. To be eligible to apply for HSB’s MBA program, applicants must have: A. A bachelor’s degree, preferably in a STEM field; a background in Design/Media/Business/Commerce/Economics is also welcome. B. Proficiency in SQL & Python before coming to campus. C. 2-4 years of relevant work experience. D. Minimum 60% grade in 10th and 12th final exams as well as your bachelor’s. E. A recent and relevant test score from the list of accepted standardised tests.
Q. Are standard tests mandatory to apply? Which test scores are accepted at HSB?
A. Yes, a standardised test score is mandatory for application. HSB currently accepts CAT, XAT, GMAT, GRE, or the HSB Test. You can initiate the application without any of these scores; however, the application will only be considered complete for processing if it includes a valid test score. It is recommended to apply once you have a test score.
Q. What is the application process?
A. Admissions at HSB follow a two-part process: an online application followed by a personal interview (if shortlisted). In the online application, in addition to required documents, you will need to provide a Statement of Purpose and an updated resume.
Q. When do applications open?
A. Applications will open in October 2023 for the Founding Class commencing in June 2024.
Q. Do I need to complete the whole application in one go?
A. No, you can save your application progress on the platform and finish it at your convenience. The application will be processed only once submitted. Keep in mind that once submitted, you won't be able to edit it.
Q. I have worked in my family business for the past year; does that count as work experience?
A. Yes, full-time work experience in your family business is considered, provided you have non-family members who can serve as referees to verify your work.
Q. Do part-time work and internships count as work experience?
A. No, only full-time work experience is considered for your application. You can highlight part-time work or internships in your Statement of Purpose or resume, but they won't be included in the work experience count.
Q. How do I add/change information if I have already submitted my application?
A. If you need to make changes to your application after submission, you can raise a query via the application dashboard. Specify the required change and provide the reason for it. The Admissions Committee will review your case and decide whether the request for the change can be accepted.
Q. Are there any financing options or scholarships I can avail of?
A. HSB has a dedicated financial aid policy to ensure that students from every stratum of society can access management education. Need-based aid will be provided to interested students after assessing the financial position of their families. As part of our commitment to your financial ease, we have partnered with the State Bank of India (SBI) to offer financing options at attractive interest rates to fund your HSB MBA.
